Our Story

FRAOEL is our names combined together to create another name for couples which seemed popular at that time. We tied the knot in 2013.

 Joel was diagnosed with a benign tumor in the spine last 2011. He decided to come home from Abu Dhabi, UAE and resigned from his work as an electrical engineer because he felt a tingling and numbing sensation on his half right side part of his body. Few months after his arrival, he was paralyzed neck down. Through reflexology and alternate/natural medicine, he was able to move slowly until he could hold his place on the wheelchair and moved his fingers to type at computer. He and Fran communicated over social media as friends then they fell in love and got married in 2013 when Joel couldn’t walk yet but could already stand up.

Fran encouraged Joel to learn new things and earn. She invested in the stock market so Joel could learn investing and trading. She also encouraged Joel to learn web designing so they could open their own online shop. Fraoel.com was born in 2014 as a beta site while Joel was still learning web designing. 

Through God’s faithfulness and alternative medicines, Joel is now able to walk again. This online store is Joel’s design, love, work and passion. There’s a link below of our other Projects. Some of the precious pieces Fraoel.com sells are handmade by Fran. Her stand and advocacy on  climate change inspires her to do recycling  so she invited friends to sell their pre-loved clothes instead of throwing them away as waste.
